The Faith of the Centurion
5When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. 6“Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed and in terrible suffering.” 7Jesus said to him, “I will go and heal him.”
8The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10When Jesus heard this, he was astonished and said to those following him, “I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. 11I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
13Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! It will be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that very hour.
THIS IS A HEALING SITE. THIS IS A REMINDER THAT GOD CAN MEET YOU WHERE YOUR FAITH LEVEL IS> WHAT IS IT YOU’RE BELIEVING HIM FOR? IS IT A HEALING? CAN YOU STAND?
I was Blessed to meet a young woman from Trinidad. She is a woman of great faith. She works as a Care provider. She has a bag full of testimonies just from this year. She told me when I believe God for something, I keep believing it until it happens. We both laughed when she said that and I yelled: “That’s right!” It’s not rocket science folks. She wants a better job. Praise God. She said she sees a vision of a job where she will work 3 days a week for $500 a day. She says she keeps seeing it and she says she knows that God will send that specific job to her. I believe her (that she believes) and I believe God. Se had the same kind of faith for a new home. A person on her current job whom she did not know; walked up to her and insisted that she move into their condo fully furnished for $500 a month in an upscale neighborhood right near her church. This is a true story. I’ve been there.
Read the story of the Centurion above. He said to Jesus basically: “Just say the word and my servant will be healed and I’ll be on my way.” He didn’t say, I’ll be back tomorrow because he believed it wouldn’t be necessary.
My sister in law had some tumors and the doctor wanted to do surgery. She said she told God: “Lord, I’m not having surgery, you’re going to have to make these tumors disappear. The tumors disappeared not long after that.
Another friend had huge tumors and they were thought to be cancerous. She believed God to heal her. When they performed the surgery; the doctors couldn’t believe it. They found the same tissue they find when they find cancer…only it wasn’t. My friend had to have two blood transfusions because the pathologists wouldn’t believe it. How do I know? That friend was me.
I know that God can meet you where your faith level is. I know that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. It doesn’t come by other people’s opinions. It comes by hearing the Word of God.
If you need healing; do as I did. Get in the Word of God. Get some healing scriptures and meditate upon them. Make up your mind that you will get your healing. Develop a prayer lifestyle. Build your confidence up and help somebody else!

I decided to put an end to the devil’s beatings that he was putting on me. I decided to fight. In my spirit I could hear him saying that he was so sorry that I laid hold of the Word of God and the promises of God. My decision to fight for my health and my life is the reason I am able to write to you now and tell you that you don’t have to believe the lies of the enemy; you can believe God’s word. However, I can’t put it in your spirit, you’ve gotta do it.
I don’t know what your “it” is…but if it’s sickness or disease; fight it.
This is a healing site. Today, as I studied the scriptures and read many books I thought about so many people who face so many challenges. I was led to call to give words of encouragement to many in my family who face various tests or trials. I thought about how many people like myself who know people stricken with various ailments and our obligation to pray for them, point them to God and to uplift them. We have to tell them to FIGHT!
The words are from the Bible, 1 Timothy 6.12 (King James Version):
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
John S. B. Monsell and William Boyd, 1863 wrote a song about it and this is what they said
Fight the good fight with all thy might;
Christ is thy Strength, and Christ thy Right;
Lay hold on life, and it shall be
Thy joy and crown eternally.
Now regarding your healing; you’ve got to take a stand; a defensive one. Get you some healing scriptures, read the Word of God, build yourself up in faith, continue, be consistent, be diligent, do not grow weary, God will come through. This is a fight that you’ve already won, but your victory will be delayed if you quit. It is so.
Maybe, it’s not you that faces the challenges; maybe it’s someone that you know. Give them encouragement and make up your mind to coach them to victory. You have that spirit in you. If you get tired, cast your cares upon God; He cares for you.
I spoke with my cousin today and she said: “My arthritis is acting up.” I told her that her confession is her possession. I told her that arthritis had been around for many years for all who had received it and that no offense; arthritis wasn’t hers. She thanked me.

This is a healing site by name, but it is a faith site by nature. See…you can’t get healed without faith.
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1)
We live by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2)
NOW LET”S TALK ABOUT TALKING
THIS IS NOT NAME IT AND CLAIM IT…BUT THIS IS SPEAKING THE WORD.
Do you recall the story of the Centurion in the bible? He came to Jesus so that his servant would be healed. He said that he understood authority so well that all Jesus had to do was to speak the Word only and his servant would be healed. Jesus spoke the Word of God and the Centurion’s servant was healed that very same hour. Jesus remarked that he had not seen such great faith in all of Israel. That was amazing!
I never really wanted to go into detail about the importance of talking because I was “concerned” about how other people might misunderstand my intentions. But, first of all, I’m a new creation in Christ Jesus and old things are passed away. I am now a BOLDER girl than that little girl who flunked kindergarten because they thought that I couldn’t talk. I was just shy at the time. It matters no more. I love my neighbor just as much as me so I’ll go into great detail to explain this.
Please read the following verse and tell me how many times that you see the word say or saith:
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11: 23
Did you count four?
I did. I genuinely am very concerned because Jesus is saying: Verily which means truly and pay attention. Pay attention means listen carefully to me. Listen carefully means focus, take notes, don’t forget and this is important. It makes me aware of life changing stuff.
Now, I’m not stupid. I’m not trying to convince you to say anything that doesn’t line up with the Word of God. I am however telling you that there is biblical evidence that God wants you healed. Listen to some healing verses:
- “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases …” (Psalm 103:2)
- “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He guards all his bones; not one of them is broken.” (Psalm 34:19)
- “For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,” says the Lord. (Jeremiah 30:17)
Don’t you get the sense from them that God wants you well? Now, I need to tell you that there are a multitude of healing scriptures in the Word of God and that especially if you are challenged health wise or have been, it will Bless you to read them daily and meditate upon them.
Now, let’s combine the two things that we’ve talked about here. We’ve talked about the power of talking and speaking; and we’ve talked about reading bible scriptures. Yes, I’m telling you (smile) to read them out loud. I did it and increased my faith for healing, which I got. It’s not a mathematical formula; but is is a faith prescription. That’s the only kind that I like.
