In the Name of Jesus, Father we draw closer to you; bringing before you our petition concerning healing in the matter of (you state).
We join our faith together and we rely on your Word. You said: “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are LIFE unto those that find them, and HEALTH to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:20-23)
Your Word says: “He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.” (Psalm 107:20) It says: “I am the Lord that healeth thee” (Exodus 15:26) You said: “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (Num. 23:19)We know “There hath not failed one word of all His good promise.” (1st Kings 8:56) We know that: “For ever O, Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.” (Psalm 119:89) for you said Father: “I will HASTEN *MY* Word to perform it.” (Jeremiah 1:12)
We know that You are the Lord that healeth us. (Ex. 12:37). How do we know that??
Your Word says: Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. It says: The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” (James 5:14-16)
Father God, You giveth power to the faint; and TO THEM that have no might YOU increaseth strength. We also know that you have delivered our souls in peace from the battle that was against her or him. Father we know that we will face tests and trials in this world for surely this seems to be one. But we don’t concern ourselves because we are reminded of the words of Christ Jesus when he said: In this world you will face tribulation, but be of good cheer I have overcome the world! So Father we thank you for the Victory that is already ours no matter what it looks like! Father we give you glory, and we give you honor and we give you praise and we are thankful for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who himself was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our inequities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed. We count this a GREAT victory today Father in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and we celebrate and praise your Name all the days of our lives. AMEN!
You decide the outcome; long before it happens by Elaine Davenport (Friday, August 31, 2007)

Proverbs 4:20-22 “My Son, attend to My words; incline thine ear unto My sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health (Lit. medicine) to all their flesh.”
NOTE - Here it is as plain as it can be: the taking of God’s Word is life and medicine to your flesh.
WHAT KIND OF TIME ARE YOU PUTTING IN FOR YOUR HEALING? I WON’T PULL ANY PUNCHES; IF YOU’RE NOT PUTTING ANY REAL TIME IN; YOU CAN’T EXPECT ANYTHING AT ALL.
Let’s Catergorize:
THIS TIME DOESN’T COUNT: Worry, fear, doubt, talking on the phone about it, laying around moping, anger, bitterness, disgust, pity party, nursing and rehearsing what the problem is, becoming an expert on the problem and not on the solution
THIS TIME DOES COUNT:
Prayer time, intimate time with God, Reading and meditating Healing Scriptures, reading/ reciting Healing Confessions, reading the Word of God and meditating on it, finding out what God wants you to do, following medical advice, getting proper rest and sleep, Loving God with all your heart mind and soul and loving others, getting exercise if possible, following a proper diet, maintaining a good support system and I am sure that there are more.
PART TWO: UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF GODLY CONFESSION
It’s so easy to live in a one dimensional world; and yet its’ not.
There are many types of confessions. Let’s list them:
1. Confessing to a crime.
2. Confession in the presence of a priest
3. Confessing guilt that is not criminally based.
4. Self Confession (may be positive or negative)
5. Godly Confession
I only want to talk about Godly Confession. That is a biblically based confession that is scripturally based. The reason this kind is the best is because God’s Word is alive. The Word has the power to heal, the power to save you, the power to preserve you, the power to give you the impetus to help you; whatever situation that you may face.
WHY IS GODLY CONFESSION EVEN IMPORTANT?
It’s important because if you confess it over and over; it gets in your spirit and then in your heart. When it gets in your heart; you believe it.
WE ALL FALL SHORT…
Growing up, many of us would make up our minds to do things and sometimes we would forget about it. For whatever reason the excitement would wear off and we’d go back to our old routine. A perfect example odf this is a diet. All the reasons we started one gets thrown out the window when we decide to “fall off” the diet and go back to our old ways. Often I hear about people who lose weight and keep it off. Somehow for them, they do not allow those old tapes to be replayed in their head. Things like: “One cookie won’t hurt.” Then the next day: “two cookies won’t hurt. You get the picture.
RATIONALIZATION
That same kind of rationalization can take place with confession. It’s like you’re thinking: “It’ll take a while so put it at the bottom of the priority list.” THAT”S WRONG THINKING…IT’S A LIE! SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE!
Every Spring people run and stampede the local nurseries and flower market for flowers. They don’t look so hot. I know because I’m always out there. We find ourselves buying multiples of those little tiny puny seedlimgs. We’re excited about them because we know that if we put them in the ground and don’t ignore them, they WILL produce a wonderful harvest…
Well, this is the same concept of the Healing Confessions. So my statement is that the time are you putting on them and what you get out will result from what you put in.
