in 1 PETER 3:7, beam in your own eye, Give custom, Give honor, Give tribute, God honors those who serve Him, HINDERED PRAYERS, Honor, Honor with your money, Honor your mother and your father, Hypocrite, Matthew 7: 2-5, Mote in your eye, No justification for dishonor, Open door for the devil, Owe no man anything but to love one another
No, I didn’t call anyone a hypocrite, but the bible does if you have this certain problem. Please read on….
DO YOU HAVE AN HONOR PROBLEM? PLEASE CONSIDER THAT THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR DISHONOR:
I’ve been thinking about why people have trouble with honoring others. Most of the time it has to do with unforgiveness. However, believers know that unforgiveness is a thing that we cannot have nor hold.
“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam {is} in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye. Matthew 7:2-5
One of the greatest obstacles to getting healed is a little known problem. Most people already are aware that not loving others and not forgiving others can block your healing, but very few realize that not honoring can be a problem as well.
Honor means simply to treat with respect in person, in thoughts, in actions and in deed where necessary. The Bible gives us a targeted group of people that we must consider a priority. For example:
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
This is called the first commandment with a promise. It says IF you honour your father AND your mother; ( not just one) your days will be long upon the land given to you by God.
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: EXODUS 20: 12
Here we are instructed to honour God with our substance and with the firstfruits of all our increase. PROVERBS 3: 9
If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. JOHN 12: 26
Here it says that if we serve God; He will honour us.
Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. 1PETER 3: 7
Here it is clear to husbands. It says honour your wives as though she is the weaker vessel and remembering that you are heirs together of Gods’ favor or grace ; so that your PRAYERS ARE NOT HINDERED!
Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due, custom to whom custom, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
Owe no man anything, but to love one another, for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. ROMANS 13: 7
Leaders of any political persuasion fall under the title of honor. It is amazing to me how many people feel justified to disrespect our president when in fact, that is not biblical.
Honor is big on Gods’ list. A lot of people think honor is something that they only give to people that they like. Clearly, honor is tied to unforgiveness and to love. I have on some occasions heard of people who want to be Blessed and absolutely refuse the people in their lives that God has commanded them to respect. I’ve been done wrong too; but I had to let it go. I’ll not allow the devil to open a door in that area on me so that he can wreak havoc in my life. Don’t you.
