Why are you still sick? by Elaine Davenport (Tuesday, October 16, 2007)

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11: 6

After graduating from a fine Christian University and a wonderful secular university; I made a choice to pursue God and to study His Word instead of acquiring a Ph.D. ; it was the best decision that I ever made! In this world, it would be easy to be deceived into believing that church attendance and bible study are unnecessary or that prayer takes too long. I hear it and see it all of the time.

I’ve been trying to tell my friend Karen about the Lord for quite a while. We’ve been holding discussions about faith. I was over her house two months ago to get my hair styled and she mentioned that her daughter had Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. Immediately, I asked her if we could pray for her healing. We joined hands, the three of us and prayed. We believed God for her healing and for The Blessing to manifest in their lives. I forgot about it.

Right after that, Karen’s daughter was laid off from her job. Karen’s daughter got a new job almost immediately thereafter, at a meat packing house.

I found out today that her Carpel Tunnel Syndrome pain had completely disappeared after our prayers. Today, I was told that symptoms have returned. (She lifts hams and turkeys etc) I will go see her again and lay hands on her again and we will pray praying Matthew 18: : 19-20 which says:

Matthew 18:19-20 (King James Version)

King James Version (KJV) Public Domain

19Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

20For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Do I believe this? I believe it so much that I use it for anyone that I pray with every single day!

God Cares For You!

1 Peter 5:7

Let Him have all your worries and cares, for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.

Don’t Worry!

Philippians 4:6-7

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ.

Don’t Fear!

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with My victorious right hand.
