The Devil’s Tricks by Elaine Davenport (Tuesday, July 24, 2007)

IT HAPPENED AGAIN!

You know Satan recycles his little tricks.  It’s getting old and it’s getting funny.  Last night I again had the worst headache.  It was like someone was pounding on my head with a hammer.  I did not want to get up.  Plus it was raining.  I had a choice; I could stay in the bed and be miserable or I could take action.  On top of that I was sleeping.  Of course I wasn’t dreaming anything good.  Just enough to keep me distracted from the real deal.

I”VE BEEN READING ABOUT THE APOSTLE PAUL  AND ABOUT JOB

Clearly these are two different stories in many ways but in many ways they are alike.  However, I won’t get into that today.  I was reminded about how Paul persevered and how Job endured until he came to his senses.  Then I began to lay hands on myself and PLEAD THE BLOOD OF JESUS!  I think by nature I began to speak in tongues.  I started to prounce myself healed; the headache continued on.  Pounding continued and then I became convinced!  I got up out of the bed.  The devil didn’t want that.  Guess what?  The headache went away.

I’m sitting here laughing at the devil.  Now no doubt he’ll attack again one day and set up a trap, but I’ve got a job to do for God and that job will get done.  What about you?
