The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10: 10

I wanted to give you a clear picture of the word: thief; so let’s look at Webster’s 1828 Dictionary:

THIEF, n. plu. thieves.

1. One who secretly, unlawfully and feloniously takes the goods or personal property of another. The thief takes the property of another privately; the robber by open force.

2. One who takes the property of another wrongfully, either secretly or by violence. Job.30.

3. One who seduces by false doctrine. John 10.

4. One who makes it his business to cheat and defraud; as a den of thieves. Matt. 21.

I want to make it clear for you. Keep that thief in mind up there. Let’s talk about faith. Do you see those mummies at the top of the page? It doesn’t matter what race, color, family size, job , education or country they are from; they are bound.

I’m writing because people are bound even though Jesus already set them free! The thief that I referred to above is Satan and “he” prefers that we remain bound! He will keep you bound through various means but the bottom line is he wants you bound.

(Sometimes, I read where faith writers are divided about their thoughts; not clearly convinced that God’s Word is completely true and I quietly say to myself with a nod: “the thief.” )

I’ve been bound a few times, but one time in particular I remember being bound up in my faith.

I wanted to go on a trip with a group of friends. Fact is, I couldn’t afford to go. It was a Faith Workshop that was to last an entire week. I began to believe God for the monies to go on the trip early on in the year. The Lord ordered my steps through the whole process but it kept coming up in my thoughts that I might not go. I just kept on believing God. Right around the time when I had all of the monies that I needed to go; God spoke to me very clearly and told me to send more than half of my savings to a Ministry affiliated with my church that was in dire straights. No problem, I did it. I didn’t hesitate. I didn’t whine or moan. The money was sent, the seed was sown. It was less than two months before it was time to leave and it was going to take a miracle for me to get that back and the remainder. Thus entered the thief. He bombarded me and tormented me. In the midst of it all, another expense came up, a debt that was owed wasn’t paid and I could go on and on. I stayed in faith but if there are levels and there are: mine was low.

Right when it was time to go; God supernaturally sent all of the monies by various means. Very few people will admit to having anxiety over how God’s going to do it, or when He’s going to do it or even if He’s going to do it. I have to tell you: He’s always come through for me and there is no reason to be bound…we just have to remember this because SAtan aka the thief won’t stop trying just because we say we know.

I was led to read Mark 5. In Mark 5; Jesus not only performed three miracles; but he also set free three people that were bound:

(READ MARK 5 HERE)

Jesus set free:

1. The man roaming in the caves with the demons called Legion in him that had made him crazy, suicidal and out of control
2. The Woman with the Issue of Blood.
3. Jairus’s daughter; who had died by the time that they got there.

* Also, he’s not in Mark 5, but please remember Lazurus.

Now if you are bound by anything read Mark 5 and get in your Bible and rehearse the promises of God.

2 Pet 1:4 – He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1: 4

Promises of Victory: Exodus 34: 24a, Deuteronomy 28: 1-13, Psalm 138: 7

Power In The Blood: Romans 5: 9, Colossians 1: 13, 14, 20

Defeat The Devil: Ephesians 6: 10-18

Jesus Is Lord: Ephesians 1: 18-23

Power & Miracles: Joshua 3: 5

Security, Safety, Salvation: Psalm 138: 7

The Lord Will Hear My Cry: Psalm 34: 4, 5, 15, 17

Every Fear Cast Out: Genesis 15: 1, Isaiah 44: 8, Hag 2: 5

and there are many more promises which include: The benefits of righteousness, healing, salvation, provision, increase in God, hope, faith, peace, wisdom, favor…the list goes on and on. You have a training manual called the bible. If your car is acting up….get out the owner’s manual and call the dealer!

Pray The Word Of God For Your Healing! (Friday, January 11, 2008)

*** We live in a very opinionated world. I’ve made some observations, but this is one I want to focus on.
I’ve heard the talk of atheists and non believers of various faith. But, I never hear them say that Jesus doesn’t heal. They may say out of ignorance (yes) that someone is a fake…but they never say Jesus can’t heal. Jesus can heal. He healed me and many others besides me. He’s healed Christians, Muslims and other religions. I’m sure he’s healed some atheists. Actually, I haven’t heard of any group that doesn’t get sick because the god of this world brings affliction and he doesn’t discriminate. Now…let’s pray for healing.

Father, I just thank You for sending our Lord Jesus. I know that by Jesus’ stripes I am healed. (1Peter 2:24) Jesus came that I may enjoy life and have it overflowing abundance. (John 10:10) It is Your will that I prosper and be in health, just as my soul prospers. (3John 2) You, the Lord are my healer: (Ex. 15:26) As I serve You Lord, sickness is taken from my midst. (Ex. 23:25)
My obedience You Lord prolongs my life. (Prov. 10:27) Healing is one of Your benefits for me. (Ps. 103:3) You sent Your Word and healed me. (Ps. 107:20) As I submit to You and resist the devil, he must flee from me. Sickness and disease must flee from me. (James 4:7) Jesus is able and willing to heal me. (Matt. 8:1-2) Jesus can heal me through my believing, receiving, and speaking His Word or through the touch of another believer who is empowered by the Holy Ghost. (Mark 16:18) Jesus paid for all sin and sickness at Calvary. (Matt. 8:17) Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Heb. 13:8) Because the Lord is my refuge and habitation, no evil nor plague shall come nigh my dwelling. (Ps. 91:9-11)

I am redeemed with the blood of Jesus Christ. ( 1 Peter 1:19) I am justified by faith, not by works of the law. (Gal. 3:13)
Jesus redeemed me from the curse of the law. (Gal. 3:13) The blessings of Abraham have come upon me. (Deu. 28:1-14) Jesus was wounded, bruised, and beaten for my sins, sicknesses, and diseases. (Is.53:5) I discern the Lord’s body and receive all that He has provided for me, including healing for my physical body. (1Cor.11:23-30)
I am diligent to pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ that they may become all God has called them to be. (1Cor. 11:23-30)
To touch Jesus is to made whole. I touch Jesus today through prayer and faith. (Mark 5:25-34) The resurrection power of Jesus Christ flows from my tongue as I speak words of life. (Prov. 18:21) I have been given authority in the name of Jesus to speak to the mountains that I face. As I command the mountains of sickness, despair, hopelessness, and lack to be removed in Jesus’ name, they must go and be replaced with the fullness of God’s blessings. (Mark 11:22,23)

Because I meditate on the Word of God day and night, God’s prosperity and success are overtaking me in all realms of life. (Josh.1:8) The measure of faith God gave me is growing by leaps and bounds. (Rom. 12:3) Because my faith is growing, nothing is impossible unto me. (Matt. 17:20) Jesus is moved with compassion on my behalf. He wants me healed because of His great love for me. (Matt. 14:14) Satan cannot dominate or oppress my life, because Jesus came to set me free. (1 John 3:8, Acts 10:38) Just as God’s grace was sufficient to cause Paul to overcome all of Satan’s buffeting, God’s grace causes me to overcome Satan’s buffetings. Christ Jesus causes me to triumph in every area of life. (2 Cor. 12:9,10) I will rise above anything and everything the devil throws at me. Nothing can keep me down, for I am more that a conqueror in Christ Jesus. (Rom. 8:35-39)

Today I will rise to new life from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept me. (Is. 60:1)
Jesus is the author of abundant life, while it is Satan who steals kills, and destroys. (John 10:10) The days of my life are seventy years-and if by reason of strength eighty. (Ps.90:10) Long life is mine because I obey and honor my parents in the Lord. (Eph. 6:1-3, Ex. 20:12) I pay attention to God’s Word, for it is life to my body and health to my flesh. (Prov. 4:20-22)
God gives me good and perfect gifts. He has no sickness or disease to give me. (James 1:17) Jesus legally redeemed me from the bondage of sickness and disease and every other work of the enemy. (Luke 13:10-17) Jesus bore my griefs (sicknesses) and carried my sorrows (pains). (Is. 53:4) In Jesus Name.
