In Mark Five we talked about Jesus and the miracles that he performed. Even though word of Jesus and the miracles spread and were told throughout the lands where he traveled he still faced people of great faith and people with none.
When Jesus encountered the woman with the issue of Blood; she interupted him as he was on his way with Jairus to go to heal his daughter.
While Jesus was still talking some people came and told Jairus that his daughter was already dead. They told him why bother the teacher any longer.
YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS…
Jairus was the ruler of the snyagogue. He knew God. When he came to Jesus, he came in faith knowing that this was the Anointed One. He said in the beginning my daughter will live if you heal her. He knew otherwise she wouldn’t. But Jaiurus was to have a faith test.
Jesus turned to him and said: “Have faith. Don’t get scared…just keep ON believing. Jesus knows that no matter how much faith you have when the circumstances that you SEE are changing for the worse…your faith can be hindered so he said: EVEN THOUGH IT SOUNDS VERY BAD…KEEP ON BELIEVING.
He let only 3 of his disciples go with him: Peter, James and John (the brother of James)
When the 5 of them arrived; Jesus observed the people crying and weeping and some were making loud noises. He went inside and asked them: Why are you crying so much, she’s not dead…she’s just sleep.
The people began to laugh at and make fun of him. Jesus put them and their unbelief out of the house.
At that point, he took the father, the mother and the people with him and went into the room where the little girl was.
He commanded her to come out of the “sleep of death.” How about that?
She got up and started walking around. Jesus told them to feed her and to tell no one.
Now, Jesus is a Healer and a Miracle Worker, you need to know this.
