Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. Psalm 138:7

Let’s Look at the The Bible In Basic English:

Even when trouble is round me, you will give me life; your hand will be stretched out against the wrath of my haters, and your right hand will be my salvation.

When facing a healing, the one thing that I recalled was that I just wanted it to go away; I wanted to get back to my normal life. After my brain tumor was removed; I found that I would have to fight my way back to normal. I could not get up. It’s amazing that I spent all this time waiting for surgery and after the surgery I seemed to be in such worse shape. Notice, that I said “seemed” because the fact of the matter was that I was in great shape! The brain tumor was out of my head. Nothing could be better than that! My recovery took 6 years, but after the first six months; I saw a steady progression. I was tired of all of the little nuances, but God gave me the strength to push on. I finally had time for Him. He is so merciful. Don’t you dare give up. There is a very bright light at the end of that tunnel you “feel” like you are in and it’s waiting for you!

How many times have you been revived? by Elaine Davenport (Tuesday, August 28, 2007)

Psalm 138: 7

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

I’ve had some great days and I’ve been in the think of the battle. Perhaps you have too. Let’s just focus for a minute. When you are really in trouble; you just have to stay the course; and give it to God. When you do this; remember that He’s working out your troubles and you can’t “see” what He is doing. A lot of people have trouble with this.

I HEARD A VERY UNUSUAL STORY YESTERDAY….

Normally, I won’t talk about controversial subjects. My good friend was given the book called: The Secret. She’s a faith person and very objective and decided to give it a try. It isn’t a book that I have read; nor am I interested in reading it. I am not slamming the book. As a writer; I am very selective about what I read and it’s not in my realm of selected topics at this time. My friend said there was a part of the book that caused her to be unrealistic about faith. She said it was something about Genie thinking or something like that. She is a long time friend and a person of excellent report and character with an impeccable reputation.

My friend is highly educated and smart. She has always dreamed of becoming a secret shopper. She ended up applying online for some jobs and soon after got a letter in the mail inviting her to become an Online shopper. At some point these people offered her a job and sent her a check for $3500.00. They told her they were going to give her $600.00 up front and that they wanted her to mail them two checks. One for $1700 and the other for $1300. Well, my friend is a very cautious person so when she went to the bank; she went to great lengths to explain to them that she really didn’t want the money until it was actually there. She explained to them that the check came as a result of an internet job and she only wanted to take the money out when it was actually there. Apparently she explained it many times and they assured her that the money was there.

She told me that her entire family told her this was a scam. One by one they each weighed in on it. She said she told them: “This is a Blessing from God!” She said she “felt” she was so exuberant because of what she read in the book. I understand this, but I realize that we all are responsible for the decisions we make regardless of how we are influenced. After my friend took the money out of her account; the bank sent her a notice saying the check didn’t clear. Then they began to call her and make her feel guilty as though she were a part of the scam.

Now, she told me all of the mail came from Canada and that she talked to a foreigner on the phone when she called for more information. It was set up for her to prove that she was an honest person. It was like an employment test of sorts.

For her; this was great trouble which caused her to backtrack to defend herself and involve the police. She was horrified when the bank initially treated her as if she were a criminal instead of a victim.

She prayed at the first sign of trouble. She stayed in faith; despite her circumstances.

One day she was led to call her bank to discuss her case..

She got a great surprise. It seems that they recorded her conversations with the bank tellers and they heard her say: I don’t want the money until it is actually there. Because of that they mysteriously dropped the charges and put her account back in good standing. God is faithful. He always come through. No matter what you are facing; God can fix it.
