How is your heart? by Elaine Davenport (Thursday, January 24, 2008)

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 28: 7

This may sound like an unusual question to ask at a Healing Site; but it is critical to those in pursuit of healing. You cannot rely on anyone to have “faith” for you. You can’t count on any person to get your “healing” for you. You can do it. Remember the woman with the issue of Blood? It was illegal for her to come out of the house. She could have been stoned for doing so due to Jewish law at that time. However, against all that she faced…she made a decision: she fixed her heart to trust in God. And not long after she left her house; she caught Jesus in a crowd, touched his ro9be and then she was able to rejoice in her heart.

I’ve been really sick before so I know how bad she must of felt. I could only trust in God. People around me cared and yet no one knew how to help me. God sent an angel to point me to Him. He was the only one who could help me and when I realized that…I fixed my eyes on HIm. I didn’t need a Word. I didn’t need a prayer…I just fixed my eyes on God. Now, we each have to do it our own way. I travailed for many months and no one really came to my rescue; just Jesus…that was all that I needed. Let me explain that during that time, I had joined a new church and I literally didn’t know anyone…but by my continuing to go, the messages increased my confidence in the faithfulness of God! I encourage you to make a decision to trust HIm and then to put your faith into action. Read healing scriptures with diligence and consistency! Meditate in the Word day and night! Make some faith confessions! Spend time with God! Listen to and for God. Take your faith steps…today!
