YOU ARE A SPIRIT ! By Elaine Davenport ( Wednesday, July 18, 2007)

You are a spirit that lives in a body!

Don’t walk away until you’ve read this! Your life may be at stake.

But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. The Book of Job

Dearest Friend,

God Bless you today! I have been praying for you and it is my hope that this message finds you well. I care about you and I take great preparation before I write this message to you. In fact, sometimes it may be rewritten and corrected some ten or more times to make sure that the proper message comes to you. I write to you today with a strong sense of urgency to talk about a matter that is so simple; yet people forget about it. I am writing you a letter of love.

I know some people who talk about politics all of the time. That’s all they do. I always say they are political. I also know some people who are experts about health and fitness. We sometimes call them fitness buffs. If we don’t say it, we think it. Then I know some real thinkers. If you talk to them, they may have some endless questions, and some might be really good. They are really good at asking questions and most of them have brilliant minds that seem to be within one grasp of satisfaction but never quite getting there.

ALL OF US seem to have one or another of these various focuses that characterize us.

HOWEVER, there is one thing that we all have in common. We are all spirits who live in a body. That body that you live in is just a house.

It may be very nice and wonderful or it may have seen better days, but I will tell you this: One day for each of us; our spirit will leave the bodies that we occupy and it is up to you to make the choice as to where you will spend your eternity. The Bible says your life is but a vapor, a mist, a fog, a breath and then it goes away.

Go to now, ye that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. The Book of James

*I heard a story recently about a young man who didn’t want to go to church or give time to God. HE REALLY DIDN’T WANT TO BE THERE ON THE DAY THAT HE WAS LAST THERE! The Holy Spirit fell in that place that day and a prophecy went out TO that young man. The word was that if he left the church this time and didn’t come back, it might cost him his life or God might have mercy on him and perhaps his life would be spared; but that he would regret that decision not to return and serve God. The young man being 16 years old made a decision to ignore the warning. He is now in jail charged with murder and MANY are praying to God for mercy for him including myself. He deeply regrets his decision. God didn’t do that to him, with his behavior he opened a door to let the enemy in. I talk to so many people and they don’t want to talk about committing their lives to Jesus. I will be held personally accountable if I know that a person truly hasn’t laid up their treasures in heaven and I say nothing to them and so will you. I REALLY DO ENCOURAGE YOU TO THINK ABOUT THIS LETTER AND THEN TO FIND SOMEONE TO SHARE THIS WORD WITH AND I THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.

*THESE ARE THE LAST DAYS. I found out that people have been saying that for so long that most people don’t believe it anymore and even more hope it’s not true. I’m just keeping it real. I found out that the last days was a 2,000 year period which ended in the Year 2000. Jesus is coming back soon for the glorious church which is simply a group of believers not out of one particular building. MANY will be left behind; will you be one of them? Are you sure?

*For those of you who know Christ who may not be in right fellowship right now you may simply be in need of rededicating your life to him. Please call me and I can lead you through a less than 5 minute rededication prayer.

We’re living on grace right now and Gods’ mercy. DON’T BE LEFT OUT!

OR:

If you’d like to give your life to Christ, please say the following prayer out loud:

Heavenly Father, it is written in your Word that if I (say your name) confess with my mouth that Jesus is LORD and if at the same time I (say your name) believe in my heart that YOU raised him from the dead, then I (say your name) will be saved. Therefore right now Father I confess that Jesus is MY LORD and the LORD of my life right now. I reject my past life with Satan and by doing so I close the door to any of his devices.

I thank you for forgiving me of my sins, I am a new creation and I am right now BORN AGAIN!

Saying this prayer is a start. Now you have to KEEP your word, you have to give your life to Christ.

*Now after you have said this prayer, please get into a Word reading/studying/following church and begin to take time and pray to find out what God’s will is for your life. I assure you that it is more than you know now. Thanks Love Sister Elaine Davenport
