3 Promises of God by Elaine Davenport (Sunday, February 3, 2008)

God says: to him who knocks it will be opened. Another Promise!

When I wake up in the morning, during my prayer time, I knock on the wall or the door at the end of reciting these scriptures. And I expect that God will keep His Word. He always does.

Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” I CALL IT THE 3 PROMISES!

In many of the educational courses that I’ve taken over the year; we’ve all been faced with formula. If you’ve got the right formula; it’s a clue to getting a problem solved. The word formula may not be appropriate, but I need for you to get the drift. A key to give you a special insight. A way to have you view things from a different perspective.

God is saying Ask Me and I’ll give it to you. He’s saying seek Me out and you’ll find Me, so that I can lead you to what you need. God is saying: Knock on My door and I’ll open it, but you gotta ask, you gotta seek and you gotta knock.

So my question to you is: Can you do it?

I had seen this scripture for many years, but it had never become real for me. I encourage you to let it become real to you.

There are three key words in there:

1. Ask

2. Seek (or look for)

3. Knock

There are promises in here. God says: “Ask and it will be given to you. That’s a promise!

God says: Seek and you will find. Another promise. Notice: “you will.”
