“Therefore be imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example] as well-beloved children [imitate their father].” (Ephesians 5:1 Amp. Bible)
COMMENT: The Scriptures tell us that God is love (1 John 4:8), so it only follows that we should imitate Love. In my opinion, 1 Cor. 13:4-8 gives us the best description of Love I have ever seen. That’s the reason I have personalized it and placed it on my refrigerator and recite it orally daily.
I endure long and am patient and kind; I am never envious nor boil over with jealousy. I am not boastful or vainglorious, nor do I display myself haughtily. I am not conceited, rude or act unbecomingly. I do not insist on my own rights or way for I am not self-seeking; I am not touchy, fretful or resentful; I take no account of the evil done to me. I do not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoice when right and truth prevail. I bear up under anything and everything that comes. I’m ever ready to believe the best of every person. My hopes are fadeless under all circumstances and they endure everything without weakening. I never fail ! ! ! (1 Cor. 13:4-8 The Amplified Bible)
SCRIPTURES TO STUDY: Isaiah 55:11 and 57:19
WISE SAYING: The Truth, God’s Word, is eternal. It never changes. Facts, on the other hand, do change; and it’s the Truth that changes them. This comes about when we speak the Truth about the situations in our lives.
